Puzzle Day

Students and teachers from all three divisions came together last week to celebrate Puzzle Day.  Inspired by Harvard's annual Puzzle Day in their Introduction to Computer Science course, the vision for the day was to give students a shared experience of puzzles as a fun way to learn, think and stretch their brains.  Students were reminded that learning can be fun and light-hearted, and exercised their cooperative learning skills. Lower School students did cooperative puzzles in their specials and classrooms. Middle School students did puzzles together during Community Time to build relationships within their homerooms, and also did puzzles in many academic courses. Upper School students solved complex puzzles from Harvard, did jigsaw and 3d printed puzzles in the Pinkham main hallway, and completed puzzles in many academic courses, and were challenged to solve Dante's infernal conundrums.
