Earlier this year, sophomores Sarah Colin, Daisy Grossman, and Alex Medow started Pre Medical Learning, a new Upper School club. As Daisy describes it: “Students have the opportunity to discuss bio-ethical issues in our community, as well as practice diagnosing patients given a list of symptoms and family history. PML allows students to get a taste of medicine, as well as giving students in different grades the chance to come together based on a common interest.”
On April 7, the students met with Dr. Asher Bercow, a pediatric critical care fellow, and Dr. Lauri Grossman, who practices homeopathic medicine. The doctors discussed their daily lives and routines, giving students a sense of what pursuing their goals would look like.
This is just one example of the many student-arranged and student-led opportunities on campus that demonstrate the passion and ambition of RCDS students.
