Service

The evening’s
program noted, "In all her endeavors, Elexa has distinguished herself
as a proactive leader. . . . Whether in the classroom or the community
at large, Elexa naturally applies her energy, intelligence and positive
attitude to make her school and community better." Elexa, a consistent
volunteer in the Rye Country Day community service program, has devoted
over 420 hours to service so far during her high school years. She is
a three-time recipient of the school’s Founder’s Award for community
service, and has also received the school’s 2008 Christine Nelson
Award for outstanding citizenship, and the 2009 James P. Godfrey Award
for significant service on behalf of others. Excellence Recognized at Rye Country DayOctober was a busy month for academic recognition at RCDS. - In addition to the four previously mentioned seniors who achieved
National Merit Semifinalist status and the senior who achieved National
Achievement Semifinalist status, twenty students were recognized as
Commended students by the National Merit competition. Congratulations

- Eighty-eight Rye Country Day students were recognized by the College
