Why people love working at Rye Country Day:

Ali Morgan, Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

“RCDS is a place where all of my passions and talents are appreciated and valued. In many ways I am a lot like our kids—I am super involved in everything, and I love every minute of it. Over time, I realized this is not by chance. RCDS encourages me to channel my inner renaissance man.”

Debra Simpson, Lower School Science Teacher

"Every day that I come to Rye Country Day School, I am excited by the prospect of seeing the natural world through the eyes of our youngest students. I am surrounded daily by the wonder and joy that children get from learning about new things! I am equally excited by being able to plan and collaborate with some of the most skilled teaching professionals who are passionate about what they teach. It makes me a better teacher and person!"

Genevieve Gaubron, Accounting Manager

"I love all of the opportunities we have to get involved, from professional development, coaching a sport, and being a chaperone on trips to helping the Parents Association with their events. I also love the opportunity to work with amazing people that give it their all in everything that they do for RCDS."

Lynette Gioffre, Director of Advancement

"Rye Country Day is an outstanding community built on encouragement and support. The energy of our current students and families, faculty, staff, and alumni is both contagious and empowering. When you work in a community that is 'all in,' you never feel like it's really work."

What qualities is the School seeking?

First and foremost, RCDS is looking for candidates who are passionate about and dedicated to ensuring outstanding educational experiences for students. That is true for every position in the School. We seek to identify, recruit, and develop faculty and staff who will enrich our school community with their talents, perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds. We look for people who thrive in a collaborative environment, who find satisfaction in challenge, and who, like our students, are committed to learning and growing.

For all teaching positions, a bachelor's degree is required, and an advanced degree is preferred. Candidates should have a minimum of three years’ teaching experience. We encourage a diverse pool of candidates to apply.
