Why people love working at Rye Country Day:

Mary Marcell, Music Department Chair

"RCDS has supported me in realizing so many of my professional visions and dreams. In addition, I love the RCDS community, and I've had the opportunity to work with so many remarkable students, colleagues, parents, and alumni throughout the years. It is such a special environment to have spent most of my career."

José Benítez Meléndez, Upper School Spanish Teacher

"Rye Country Day School wholeheartedly embraces change for the betterment of our students, institution, and community. Plus, through the School's professional development opportunities, I have been able to explore the field of Second Language Acquisition in greater depth and stay current with new methodologies and trends. It has been important for me to participate in a professional development experience every summer to continually reflect on and improve my teaching."

Nicole Leath, Lower School Assistant Principal

"Rye Country Day School has allowed me to continuously grow and evolve as an educator and administrator. Over the years, I have engaged in numerous professional development opportunities in a variety of curricular topics, social-emotional learning, and leadership."

Beatrice DeSabatino, Middle School Classics Teacher

"The RCDS Middle School is a magical place to be a teacher because it's not just the students that are full of joy and curiosity (and, to be sure, they are positively overflowing with it), but it's also the tight-knit community of teachers and administrators, who bring their perseverance, humor, and passion for their subjects every single day."

Debra Simpson, Lower School Science Teacher

"Every day that I come to Rye Country Day School, I am excited by the prospect of seeing the natural world through the eyes of our youngest students. I am surrounded daily by the wonder and joy that children get from learning about new things! I am equally excited by being able to plan and collaborate with some of the most skilled teaching professionals who are passionate about what they teach. It makes me a better teacher and person!"

Genevieve Gaubron, Accounting Manager

"I love all of the opportunities we have to get involved, from professional development, coaching a sport, and being a chaperone on trips to helping the Parents Association with their events. I also love the opportunity to work with amazing people that give it their all in everything that they do for RCDS."

Lynette Gioffre, Director of Advancement

"Rye Country Day is an outstanding community built on encouragement and support. The energy of our current students and families, faculty, staff, and alumni is both contagious and empowering. When you work in a community that is 'all in,' you never feel like it's really work."
