This year, a new group of students from two of Ms. Sheehy's Spanish 4 Honors classes visited the Caritas Food Pantry in Port Chester to participate in an annual service learning opportunity developed in partnership with Caritas. During these visits, the students assist with setting up tables for lunch service, bagging fresh produce, loading carts, and helping clients with their food selections. Throughout their time at Caritas, students communicate with clients in Spanish, providing an authentic opportunity to practice the language outside of the classroom. Many thanks to Caritas Food Pantry for this meaningful community partnership!
