About 5 Steps to Five 5 Steps to Five is a community-based non-profit dedicated to empowering parents and caregivers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to support their children’s development from birth to age five. Our evidence-based programming helps to build strong early foundations, ensuring children enter kindergarten ready to learn and thrive. Internship Overview This internship offers hands-on experience in non-profit operations, early childhood education, and community engagement. The intern will work closely with the Executive Director, program staff, and volunteers to support program delivery, outreach efforts, and organizational operations. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in education, social work, psychology, public policy, Spanish language skills, or non-profit management to gain practical experience in a mission-driven environment.

Special or Preferred Requirements:

Key Responsibilities could include: Program Support: Assist in planning and facilitating early childhood workshops for families, helping with materials preparation, logistics, and session coordination. Community Outreach: Support efforts to engage local families, partners, and donors through social media, newsletters, and outreach events. Data & Impact Measurement: Help track program participation and outcomes, conduct surveys, and compile reports on program effectiveness. Fundraising & Development: Assist with grant research, donor communications, and planning fundraising events. Administrative Support: Provide general support for day-to-day non-profit operations, including scheduling, communications, and event coordination. Child interaction: Provide hands on activities including reading and arts and crafts with program participants Qualifications & Skills Passion for early childhood education, community engagement, and non-profit work
