Brief description of job/internship:

The student will be trained to perform various screening and diagnostic tests to help diagnose and treat various eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataract, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and many others. The student will have direct interactions with patients and be expected to greet patients and assist them as they progress through their visit with the physician. All testing will be uploaded to the patient's electronic medical record. The student will be expected to understand and abide by the patient privacy act. A mature and professional approach to patient care is paramount.
