On Monday, January 9, Ben Pearce ’21, a freshman on Emory University’s men’s basketball team, was named the University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for the first time in his collegiate career.

Ben had two dominant performances last week, scoring over 20 points in both games, with a career-high 27 points against University of Rochester on Saturday, January 7. He shot 50% across the two games and was 6-for-19 from beyond the three-point line. In addition, Ben averaged 3 assists and 1.5 steals in the two wins and boosted his season average to a team-leading 18.4 points per game.

The team currently has a 10-2 record with their next game against Carnegie Mellon on Friday, January 13 at 7:30 p.m. Use this link to tune in!
