Liz Lemley Wins Olympic Gold Medal in Women’s Individual Moguls

Former RCDS student Liz Lemley captured the gold medal in the Women’s Individual Moguls at the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympics, marking a breakout moment in her Olympic debut.

Liz earned a second-place finish in the first qualification round with a score of 80.95, narrowly trailing reigning Olympic champion, Australia’s Jakara Anthony. The first-time Olympian and youngest member of the American moguls team, automatically advanced with her performance, earning a strong position heading into the 20-skier final.

After a 79.02 score on her first final run, Liz delivered her best performance when it counted most. She scored a near-flawless 82.30 among the eight-skier super field, while managing aggressive turns, solid jumps, and excellent speed. She captured gold and upset a champion on the world’s biggest stage.

Liz and teammate Jaelin Kauf secured a 1-2 finish, marking the first time the United States has swept the top two spots in a women’s freestyle skiing event at the Olympics — a historic achievement for the program.

Congratulations, Liz!
