On Saturday, April 6, five RCDS squash players (AJ Bodenstein '26, Henry Fogel '25, Winn Metrailler '26, Tyler Perry '25, and Sophia T. '28) and Head Coach and Director of Squash Elani Landman participated in the 12th Annual StreetSquash Junior Cup, a tournament-fundraiser for middle school and high school athletes in support of StreetSquash programming.
StreetSquash is a transformative pathways program committed to supporting and empowering children, young adults, and families in Harlem. StreetSquash works with its participants in several core areas: academic support, college access and success, mental health, leadership development, and squash instruction and competition.
At the tournament, 20 teams, consisting of five players plus one StreetSquash student, competed to raise the most money and play in a friendly round-robin.
It was a wonderful opportunity for the Wildcats to put the RCDS motto, Not for Self, but for Service, into action.
