On Monday, December 11, Shane Regan ’20, a junior on Wesleyan University’s men’s basketball team, was named the NESCAC Player of the Week.
Shane had two dominant performances in Wesleyan’s wins over Colby-Sawyer College and Bridgewater State University. Over these two games, he averaged 23.0 points, 7.5 assists, and 3.5 steals per game on 77.3 percent shooting, 71.4 percent from three, and 87.5 percent from the free throw line. In Wesleyan’s 98-65 win over Bridgewater State, he scored a career-high 28 points, while also recording a career-high in assists (8) and matching his career-high in steals (6).
Shane currently leads the NESCAC in points per game (18) and steals per game (2.4) and ranks second in assists (4.2).
