Rye Country Day School hosted its 3rd Annual Winter Wildcat Weekend on Friday, January 31, and Saturday, February 1. Friday evening was full of blue and gold cheer, as students came out in large numbers to support our six Varsity teams competing in the Scott A. Nelson Athletic Center. The festivities continued on Saturday with the Family Skating Party in the ice rink.

Athletic Events

On Friday, our Boys’ and Girls’ Varsity Squash, Basketball, and Hockey teams competed in front of the Wildcat community, finishing with an impressive 5-1 record. Attendees also enjoyed a variety of spirited activities, including Chuck-a-Puck, Knockout, and a Chipotle event in the Athletic Center led by our Athletic boosters. The committee also distributed blue and gold beads and pom-poms to encourage everyone to display their Wildcat pride.

Family Skating Party

Saturday continued the celebration of Wildcat pride as students and their families enjoyed an afternoon of skating on our home ice rink with music provided by student DJ Chaim Sciamma ’27. The party served hot chocolate, cookies, and brownies for all participants. Four lucky students won raffle prizes, and the school continued its annual tradition with a fun group photo with Willy on the ice with students to capture the moment!
