Middle School Learning to Lead (2018-19)

How might we develop leadership skills in middle school students in order to prepare them for future leadership opportunities in the Upper School and beyond?

Project Overview

We will create a program for Middle School students who are interested in developing their skills and attributes as leaders. Through weekend retreats, after school meetings, guest speakers, and case study analysis, we will look to develop and practice the following skills within each individual member: communication (oral, written, etiquette, listening), empathy, conflict resolution, time management, goal setting, strength and weakness analysis of self and others, organization, and decision-making.

Project Goals

Our hope is that our students will carry leadership skills with them as they venture into the Upper School and beyond.
