A Pre-Kindergarten - Grade 12 co-educational independent day school in Westchester County, New York

Why Give

Rye Country Day sincerely appreciates the commitment and generosity of our community. All gifts no matter the amount have a profound impact on our students, faculty and the school as a whole.

As with all independent schools, tuition revenue alone does not cover the full cost of Rye Country Day’s annual operating budget. The Annual Fund helps to bridge this budget gap, and contributes vital funds to academic programs, need-based financial aid, teacher compensation, and other expenses. We ask all members of the School community, including families, alumni, parents of alumni, grandparents, faculty and staff, and friends to make a contribution each year.

Rye Country Day is extremely fortunate to have a traditionally dedicated philanthropic community. Over the past 20 years, current families historically have supported annual giving at a participation rate of 95% or higher. Our alumni community has also been committed with participation rates of 25% or higher. The national average for independent schools is 66% participation for current families and 9.8% for alumni.

Why the RCDS Community Gives

Paul Mahoney P'23

We give because this school has given so much to our son. He has blossomed as a student and a person as a result of the teaching (academic and "life") he receives at RCDS. He has had the best experience we believe possible as a result of being part of the school's community, and we are thrilled to be able to support RCDS.

- Parent, Class of 2023

Joseph and Elaine Behl GP '31

RCDS is providing our grandson with much more than an academic education. He is being challenged academically and physically, encouraged creatively, and nurtured socially and psychologically. The school's environment seeks to feed the student's entire educational experience.

- Grandparents, Class of 2031

Dong Dong Huang, Faculty/Staff

I love working at Rye Country Day because of the incredible students and colleagues I get to be with every day. They inspire me, and I give to RCDS because I want to give back to a community that has given me so much joy and fulfillment.

- Faculty/Staff Member

Raven Montagna '21

I was fortunate enough to receive aid during my time at RCDS. I want other students to be able to attend and have the wonderful high school experience that I had. Even if I can only give a small contribution, every little bit goes to help another student in the position that I was in.

- Alum, Class of 2021

David Mittleman ’80

RCDS formed the foundation of my education, my career, and my life. I will always be eternally grateful.

- Alum, Class of 1980

Jaime De La Fuente P'27, P'29

RCDS is an excellent environment to bring out the best of tomorrow's leaders. In the challenges we face today, RCDS is led by a staff who promotes the best in our students, our families, and ourselves for a better tomorrow.

- Parent, Classes of 2027 and 2029

I give to Rye Country Day to support the school mission statement, the incredible faculty and the amazing well-rounded education that the school provides for my daughter, and the broader Rye Country Day community.
