Every summer, Rye Country Day runs an academic enrichment program for highly motivated public school students who will be entering Grades 7, 8, and 9. The program runs every morning through the month of July, and seeks to expand the academic and intellectual horizons of promising students from local communities.
This summer, program directors Jason Leath and Ethan White added several new experiences to enhance the program. Students enjoyed a musical theater performance on Broadway, explored space travel at the Discovery Museum in Bridgeport, took part in STEAM-based classes, and learned how to create their own healthy meals using vegetables from the RCDS gardens and the help of Chef Marwin Brown.
Please enjoy ACTION's video yearbook, which summarizes this summer's program.
