Eleventh grader Samantha Buchbinder, President of the Être Girls Club, sponsored the club's second discussion of the year for twenty of our middle school students. The discussion featured the journey and experiences of three female college athletes. Susan Burns - who wears many hats at RCDS, including teacher coach, and parent - spoke to students about her experiences as a soccer player at Duke University. Kerry Linderoth - who teaches science, directs the School's sustainability initiative, and coaches cross country - discussed her path as a cross country athlete at Connecticut College. Blair Metrailler, who is a current parent and a recent inductee into the RCDS Alumni Hall of Fame, shared her experiences of being an RCDS student athlete and Harvard athlete. The middle school students asked great questions and left feeling inspired. Thank you to these remarkable women for sharing their stories!
