Amelia Lower '20 and Sasha Leonard '21 Recognized for their Poetry
Two RCDS student poets recently received recognition for their writing.
|"Atrophy," a poem by Amelia Lower '20, was featured in the annual Storm King Poetry Festival, which showcases student poetry from throughout the Hudson Valley. Earlier this spring, junior Sasha Leonard won a national Gold medal in the prestigious Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for a series of poems entitled, "The Book of Lamb: a Collection of Cursed Prayers." Read Sasha's award-winning poems here Mr. Pollock referred to this prestigious award stating, "Over the fall and winter, Sasha poured sweat and spirit into writing and revising these poems, and I am glad to see this unique poetic talent receiving the recognition she so richly deserves!"
