Alexandra Lynch ’27 Earns Prestigious Vocal Honors

Rising senior, three-sport (cross country, squash, and track) varsity athlete and team captain Alexandra Lynch ’27 has added another impressive set of prestigious honors to her resume—this time on the concert stage as a classical vocalist.

She was named a Grand Winner of the 2026 National League of Performing Arts International Young Musicians Competition and earned First Place in the Connecticut National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Upper School Classical category. She was also selected as a winner of the Hamden Symphony Orchestra Young Musicians Concerto Competition, becoming the first vocalist chosen in many years. As a result, Alexandra will perform as a featured soloist with the Hamden Symphony Orchestra and will also sing at Carnegie Hall.

Alexandra has studied voice since the age of six and has trained for the past eight years with vocal instructor Claire Stadtmueller. She specializes in opera, classical repertoire, and musical theater, with aspirations of pursuing a professional career in opera.

These latest honors build on an already impressive record of success. In 2025, Alexandra placed third in the Vocal Artist Management Services Young Vocalist Competition after earning honorable mention in the competition for three consecutive years. She also performed at the 2024 Carnegie Hall Gala after being selected by Sound Espressivo and previously earned three consecutive Gold Cup Awards with perfect scores at The Schubert Club of Fairfield County Young Musicians Festival Competition.

Congratulations, Alexandra, on these remarkable achievements.
