Ancient Greek 2 and 3 Classes Paint Scenes from “The Iliad” on Traditional Greek Vases

To further their study of The Iliad, students in Ancient Greek 2 and 3 have been painting scenes from Book 6 of the epic poem on vases in the Makerspace. Makerspace Director Kevin Farrant helped the students develop a blueprint for a traditional Greek vase, which he then created using a 3D clay printer. Each of the students illustrated a different scene: Adrastus pleading with Menelaus, Glaucus and Diomedes exchanging armor, Nestor and Hector urging their soldiers to fight, and Hector and Andromache meeting by the walls of Troy.
