Last Friday, the RCDS Middle School hosted the annual Grade 8 Breakfast, a beloved tradition where advisors share their congratulations and well wishes with their students as they prepare for Middle School graduation.
Special moments included the welcome to the Upper School from Assistant US Principal Jenny Heath, heartfelt reflections from Grade 8 Dean Matt Rosolen, and the keynote address from MS Spanish Teacher Lizanne Rosenzweig, who will retire at the end of the school year after 21 years of outstanding teaching and advising at RCDS.
The highlight tradition is the kick-off salute where fellow Middle Schoolers in Grades 5-7 greet the division’s seniors with warm cheers as they process into the dining hall for breakfast.
And, breakfast was just the start of a special day for Grade 8, which continued with a trip to a bowling alley and a special Gr8 Fest back on campus!
The day was a festive and meaningful way for eighth graders to connect and celebrate ahead of their Middle School graduation tomorrow.
