Edith Read Beach Clean-Up Program Concludes Third Year

The Edith Read Beach Clean-Up Program had a successful spring season, wrapping up its third year in action as part of Rye Country Day’s Sustainability and Public Purpose programs.

Each year, the program’s goal is to empower students to volunteer in their community by cleaning up the wildlife sanctuary in Rye. Along the way, the students also learn about how they can be leaders in sustainability and make the world a better place.

“It has been inspiring to see RCDS students of all ages continue to take the lead in caring for their local wildlife sanctuary for the third consecutive year. Their dedication shows that small, consistent actions can add up to a big impact for our environment."
—Kerry Linderoth, Director of Sustainability, Science Teacher
