After advancing as finalists in the Young Musicians Program competition, Emma Maini ’27 and Alex Tartaglia ’28 received a formal invitation to perform at the 42nd Annual Young Musicians Concert at Lincoln Center on May 5. The first RCDS students to earn this distinction, Emma and Alex delivered a resounding rendition of Beethoven’s “Spring” Sonata No. 5 Op. 24. 

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center Young Musicians Program competition is a highly competitive and prestigious opportunity for outstanding seventh-through-twelfth-grade chamber ensembles from across the New York tri-state area. In the competition, Juliette Moore ’27 and Melody Wu ’28 also represented RCDS, advancing and performing in the Semifinalist Regional concert.
