Enacting Commitment to Sustainability, Students Donate Campus Pumpkins to Local Farm
Each year, after the Thanksgiving Break, the pumpkins that adorn campus through the fall are donated to a local farm.
In early December, AP Environmental students collected the decorative pumpkins around campus and loaded them up into a van to be delivered to Safe Haven Farm Sanctuary in Poughquag, NY. Chickens, turkeys, goats, and two pigs named Leo and Otis enjoyed a little pumpkin feast on the farm!
A terrific way for students to enact their commitment to sustainability.
