Five RCDS Students Earn National Medals in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards

Louis Panie ’29, Emma Wolff ’29, Illaria Liedtke ’27, Chiara Perkins ’28, William Zhou ’29 were recently named National Medalists for their works of art in this year’s Scholastic Art and Writing Awards:

Louis Panie ’29 - Time, Suspended - Golf Medal
Emma Wolff ’29 - A Forever Kinda Thing - Screenplay/Script - Gold Medal
Illaria Liedtke ’27 - on the extinction of teenage girls - Poetry - Silver Medal
Chiara Perkins ’28 - girl math - Poetry - Silver Medal
William Zhou ’29 - Through the Gate of Light - Photography - Silver Medal

These students qualified for national recognition after winning awards in the regional round. Known as the nation’s longest-running, most prestigious recognition program for creative teens in Grades 7 through 12, the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards are judged by luminaries in the visual and literary arts.
