Annual Fourth-Grade Inspirational Figures Hall of Fame [Video]

A beloved Grade 4 RCDS tradition is the Inspirational Figures Hall of Fame Presentation.

The presentation is the culmination of an annual unit in which students select and research an inspirational figure whose influence has made the world a better place. In library, the fourth graders read all about their selected inspirational figures. In art class, they create clay sculptures of them.

For the presentation, students develop and deliver speeches and presentations about their selected figures and why they feel they should be inducted into the RCDS’s Inspirational Figures Hall of Fame. This year’s inductees included Neil Armstrong, Rosa Parks, Galileo, Anne Frank, and more.

Bravo to our fourth graders! This interdisciplinary project was an outstanding showcase of their skills in research, writing, creative expression, and public speaking.
