Earlier this spring, Middle School students in Ms. Rosenzweig’s Spanish class visited the office of Middle School Principal Pen Vineyard for a special interview conducted entirely in Spanish.The interview was a terrific way for students to practice their Spanish speaking skills, while also learning more about Mr. Vineyard. 

Mr. Vineyard, who is fluent in Spanish, began learning the language at an early age. During college, he studied abroad in Mexico, and he lived in Madrid after graduating. “I encourage all students to take the opportunity to study or live abroad, because I believe that it is a life-changing experience,” he says.

In 2024-25, Mr.Vineyard co-taught an Upper School Spanish course at RCDS and greatly enjoyed sharing his love of language and connecting with students beyond the Middle School.
