Students in the Grade 9 World History I course learned about the Silk Road trade routes by acting as merchants in class. With goods from different regions of the Mediterranean, Middle East, India, Central Asia, and China, students conducted trades for various goods. They exchanged items such as glass and silk, as well as ideas and technology like farming techniques and religions from different parts of the world. An immersive look at the rich mercantile traditions that greatly influenced world and regional economics and history.
