Eight Seventh Grade Students Participate in the Human Rights Institute for Middle School Student Leaders Workshop Sponsored by the Holocaust & Human Rights Education Center (HHREC) of White Plains

Eight seventh graders participated in the Human Rights Institute for Middle School Student Leaders Workshop sponsored by the Holocaust & Human Rights Education Center (HHREC) of White Plains.

Hosted at Temple Emanu-El in Rye, the workshop explored the themes of respect and ways students can be upstanding citizens in society against all forms of bigotry and prejudice. Students listened to a keynote presentation by Sheila Arnold, master storyteller, teaching artist, and CEO of History’s Alive! Then they worked in breakout groups with peers from 12 other middle schools in the Lower Hudson Valley-Westchester region.
