Juliet Tuncer ’27 Secures Gold and Silver Medals at New York State Rowing Championships

Earlier this month, Juliet Tuncer ’27 competed at the New York State Rowing Championships in Saratoga Springs, NY.

On May 9, Juliet rowed in the RowAmerica Rye Girls’ Second Varsity Eight Boat and won the gold medal clocking in at 5:20.66. 

On May 10, she raced in the Girls’ Varsity Single Sculls and earned a silver medal with a time of 7:34.09. This was Juliet’s first time racing a single scull—one of the sport’s most technically demanding events.

Over the past three seasons, Juliet has amassed four golds and one silver medal at the New York State Rowing Championships. Both of her placements qualified her for the USRowing Youth National Championships taking place June 11-14 at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, FL. This will be her third US Rowing Youth National Championship.
