Makerspace Marshmallow Challenge Brings Together Product Design, Problem-solving, and Teamwork

Fifth graders recently completed the Makerspace Marshmallow Challenge! Using only spaghetti, tape, and string, students had two minutes to build the tallest structure with a marshmallow on top. This design exercise challenges students to think creatively about product design and problem-solving. It was a great display of this year’s theme of TEAMWORK.

This activity is an RCDS Makerspace favorite! Employees took the marshmallow challenge as part of a team-building exercise during 2022-23 opening meetings!
