Marshall Brown ’28 and Kayla Rosen ’28 Place First, Three Other Individual Student-Athletes and One Relay Team Medal at 2026 NYSAIS Championships

The Varsity Indoor Track team had an impressive showing at the 2026 NYSAIS Championships on Friday, February 27 at The Armory Track in New York City.

Marshall Brown ’28 was crowned the NYSAIS Champion in the Boys’ 1000m clocking in at 2:31.24 marking a new personal best and 10th-ranked time in New York State! The fantastic mark also earned Marshall All-State honors. 

Kayla Rosen ’28 was crowned the NYSAIS Champion in the Girls’ pole vault clearing nine feet and also earned All-State honors. Max Maven Agulay ’27 came in fourth in the Boys’ pole vault clearing nine feet as a new personal best.

Michael Allen ’27 placed second in the Boys’ 55m to earn All-State honors after clocking in a personal best of 6.58. Payton Richardson ’28 placed second in the Girls’ 55m to earn All-State honors after a personal best time of 7.19.

The Boys’ 4x800m Relay Team of Marshall Brown ’28, Bruce Jin ’28, David Lusman ’29 and Jack Slovin ’28 placed second to earn All-State honors with a season best time of 8:29.97.

Michael Allen ’27, Marshall Brown ’28, and Payton Richardson ’28 will head to the New York State Federation Championships on Friday, March 6 at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
