Matthew Liew '23 Wins Second National Championship with UChicago Men's Tennis Team
On May 22, in Chattanooga, TN, Matthew Liew ’23 helped guide the University of Chicago’s Men’s Tennis team to their third NCAA Division III National Championship in the past five years, defeating the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, 4-3. This is Matthew’s second National Championship during his three year tenure with the program.
Matthew finished this season with a 5-4 record and boasted his career record to 23-12 in singles and 5-3 in doubles play.
This season caps off a strong 23-3 record highlighted by a National Championship and University Athletic Association (UAA) title for the University of Chicago Maroons.
Congratulations, Matthew! Once a Wildcat, Always a Wildcat!
