Middle Schoolers Hear TED-Style Talk on the French Education System from Upper School AP French Student Marina Leifert ’28

In eighth-grade French language classes, students have been exploring what school life is like for young people in francophone (french-speaking) countries, specifically France and Algeria.

To deepen their learning around the topic, students welcomed AP French Student Marina Leifert ’28 to give a TED-style talk about the attributes of the French education system. Prior to attending RCDS, Marina attended the French-American School of New York and was able to give students insight into the similarities and differences between the American and Francophone countries.

The unit was an informative and engaging way for Middle Schoolers to expand their knowledge about the French experience while putting their language skills to practice.
