Peggy Helman ’20 Receives Crystal Pillar at the Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards

Peggy Helman ’20 was awarded a Crystal Pillar at the Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards for producing "From Chicago to the Vatican: The Making of Pope Leo XIV”, a news special for Chicago Association Network Television

A Crystal Pillar is awarded by Emmy chapters of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences to recognize outstanding work in regional news or documentary categories by high school and college students. Peggy was among four nominees in the Category #C-1 College Student Production – Newscast. 

At the time of the nomination, Peggy was pursuing her master’s degree in Journalism at Northwestern University. She is now working full-time as a Desk Associate for MS NOW in Washington, D.C.
