This past spring, co-leaders of the RCDS Chapter of the IntraSpectrum Club Lincoln Feng '26 and Qian Wei ’26 led a presentation for students in Grades 5 and 6 advocating for autism awareness.
Lincoln and Qian explained their IntraSpectrum chapter’s mission of “creating a world where individuals with autism are understood, accepted, and supported.” In their presentation, they defined autism, how it affects communication with others, and how students can be supportive of individuals with autism. Following the presentation, Lincoln and Qian held an audience Q&A session.
The multi-chapter IntraSpectrum Club was co-founded in 2020 by Lincoln Feng ’26 and Hackley student Ethan Yihan Deng. As a non-profit organization, IntraSpectrum has made a difference in supporting people with autism through several initiatives including peer mentoring, various awareness initiatives, and AbleBloom, a community event celebrating the talents of individuals with developmental disabilities.
