The RCDS Arts Departments (Music, Drama & Dance, and Visual Arts) were thrilled to host the Annual Arts Faculty Dinner in November.

Over 50 arts teachers from across independent schools in Westchester and Fairfield counties, gathered for an evening of community and professional growth. Tables were buzzing with insights about shaping sound in the music room, color in the studio, and movement on the stage.

“It was a great night of camaraderie and creativity. I loved hearing colleagues trading stories (triumphs and trials alike). I think we all left with a few new ideas, and maybe even a few new friends,” said RCDS Music Department Chair Mary Marcell. Head of School Randall Dunn joined the arts educators, offering a warm greeting from RCDS and emphasizing the importance of arts education. “It was our pleasure to host this year,” shared Mr. Dunn. “The work these outstanding educators do to foster creativity in our students is critical. What a terrific evening!”
