On May 1, the Upper School Public Purpose Student Leadership Board (PPSLB) hosted the School’s first-ever “Miles That Matter” Walkathon, bringing together 188 Upper School students and faculty on East Campus to raise funds for various student club partner organizations.
Eleven student clubs with a public purpose focus participated in the 20-minute walk, completing three laps on various campus trails. Each student group showcased its corresponding club’s mission with banners, matching shirts, bracelets, and more. Students ended the experience enjoying ice cream and refreshments while leaders of PPSLB shared a few words about the fundraising results and overall impact of the walk.
Thanks to the energy and dedication of all involved, the walkathon was a successful, spirited celebration of student leadership, collaboration, and social impact.
