At the beginning of February, alumni and former members of RCDS Girls’ Soccer team gathered, along with legendary RCDS Soccer Coaches Dick Pike H’11 and Jim Mooney. Coaches Pike and Mooney led the Girls’ Varsity Soccer team at RCDS for over 10 years together. Coach Pike started the Girls’ Soccer program in 1983. Over his 28 years at the helm, Coach Pike led the soccer teams to 275 wins, 137 losses, and 37 ties, during which the Wildcats won the Fairchester Athletic Association championship nine times and qualified to play in the New England Prep School championship tournament five times.
Alumni from various graduating classes made the trip from all across the country for this evening, to remember and celebrate their formative experiences as Wildcats under guidance of their amazing coaches and mentors. The night was filled with laughter and memories, reminiscing over the times both on and off the field as RCDS student-athletes.
It was a wonderful evening that demonstrated how athletics at RCDS enhance the student experience and create memories that last a lifetime! Once A Wildcat, Always A Wildcat!
