RCDS Theater Faculty Members Kate Henerey and Jac-que Robinson Present at United States Institute for Theatre Technology Conference

In March, Drama & Dance Department Chair Kate Henerey and Director of Performing Arts Spaces and AV Technology Jac-que Robinson presented at the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) Annual Conference. One of the largest professional gatherings for technical theatre in the United States, USITT’s mission is to connect performing arts design and technology communities to ensure a vibrant dialog among practitioners, educators, and students.

Their session offered strategies for building more inclusive K–12 theatre programs. The conversation also invited the participating educators and theatre professionals to share their lived own experiences, which fostered a thoughtful and solutions-oriented discussion.

As a special Wildcat bonus, Ms. Henerey and Mr. Robinson were delighted to connect with RCDS alumnus and Tufts University senior Amitav Nott ’22 at the conference!
