Following the first day of school on Tuesday, September 8, the RCDS community came together for the annual Back-to-School Block Party, a favorite tradition that brings students, families, faculty, and staff together to celebrate the start of a new school year.

New friends connected and familiar faces caught up while enjoying favorites from Walter’s Hot Dogs, Coal Fired Pizza, and Longford’s Ice Cream, along with face painting, games, and activities, all embracing this year’s all-school theme of COMPASSION. And, of course, Willy the Wildcat was there to welcome everyone back with hugs and high-fives!

The annual gathering offered a joyful opportunity to reconnect as a community and begin another year of learning, growth, and connection at RCDS.

Many thanks to everyone who helped make this year’s Back-to-School Block Party a memorable start to the 2026–27 school year!
