Rye Country Day School recently hosted a clinicians breakfast to bring together mental health professionals from Rye and surrounding areas. The professional development and resource sharing event  was part of the RCDS’s ongoing work to develop a network of highly skilled counseling professionals to advance the field of student support and wellness.

Keynote speaker Dr. Chris Bogart, Executive Director of Sasco River Center, offered insights on best practices for collaboration between external providers and independent schools.

Sasco River Center is a premier Fairfield and Westchester County child and family development practice with clinicians who provide a wide range of support through a multidisciplinary approach.

“Building a network of external people is important for our shared work of supporting students,” explained RCDS Director of Counseling Dr. Kamauru Johnson. “RCDS is thrilled to be doing this work in partnership with other regional counselors,” he added. To date, the efforts have included professional development and networking opportunities like this one as well as other collaborations with external organizations.
