On Monday, April 29, RCDS welcomed 40 high school students from the Meander Big Band, a high school jazz band from Zwolle in the Netherlands. 

This outstanding student group, which is touring the United States as part of their spring break, played three concerts at RCDS for students in Grades 2-6 and Upper School music ensembles.  Selections included songs by Stevie Wonder, Bruno Mars, and Elvis Presley, in addition to classic jazz tunes.

The visiting band received tours of campus and had lunch with RCDS students. In addition, some of the RCDS ensembles had the opportunity to perform their Spring Concert repertoire for the Meander Big Band.

The RCDS Music Department has been welcomed abroad during various concert tours, so they were delighted to pay it forward as hosts.
