Throughout the school year, students in AP Biology and Computational Biology classes have visited the DNA Learning Center (DNALC) at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals in Tarrytown.
On their most recent visit in February, students learned how to isolate DNA from common foods to determine which foods contain genetically modified organisms (GMOs). They were accompanied by Dr. Bischoff, Ms. Dooley, and Mr. Leath.
Joining in the learning, the RCDS Parent Association STEAM Committee recently organized a parent/guardian field trip to the DNA Learning Center that offered a hands-on lab experience.
