Upper School 3D Art Show “Assembled Matter” Now on Display

The Upper School 3D Art Show opened in the Cohen Center for the Creative Arts on Wednesday, February 11.

Titled Assembled Matter, the show brings together student work from Architecture, Ceramics/Sculpture, Wheel and Honors/Drawing and Painting classes with an emphasis on design as an iterative, process-driven practice grounded in material exploration and spatial thinking.

“Through architectural diagrams, models, and proposals, students investigate aggregation, structure, and the ways the human body moves through and experiences space. In ceramics, students explore embedded and dimensional texture through repetition, and surface construction, using clay as both structure and surface. Across disciplines, materials are pressed, layered, built, and assembled to test how form emerges through making. The exhibition highlights experimentation, critical thinking, and the evolving relationship between material, structure, texture, and human interaction.”
