Upper School English Teacher Andrés Cerpa is on the the longlist for the 2021 National Book Award for Poetry for his sophomore book, The Vault (Alice James Books 2021). His book is one of just 10 longlisted titles that were selected from 290 publisher-submitted books in the poetry category of this renowned literary award. Mr. Cerpa is the recipient of fellowships from MacDowell and CantoMundo, and his work has appeared in Ploughshares, Academy of American Poets’ Poem-a-Day, Kenyon Review, The Rumpus, Puerto Rico en mi Corazón, The BreakBeat Poets Vol 4: LatiNext, and The Nation, among others.
