Upper School Film Students Place First in Animation, Documentary, and Drama Categories of the New York Alliance Film Festival

12 Upper Schoolers enrolled in Rye Country Day’s film program took home the first-place prize in several categories in the New York Alliance Film Festival (NYAFF). The students were recognized at the awards ceremony, which was held in the Black Box Theater on RCDS’s campus in June.

The goal of NYAFF is to connect aspiring student filmmakers with their peers from other independent schools in New York State.  After writing, shooting, producing, and editing their 10-minute or longer film, students submit the final product and a trailer.

Congratulations, student filmmakers!
