Upper School Science teacher Craig Burt received an Outstanding Educator Award from the University of Chicago. Every year, newly admitted UChicago students recommend teachers who have “gone above and beyond the call of duty” to leave a lasting, positive impression.

This year’s prompt for the undergraduates was to nominate an educator whose guidance has helped them along the path toward intellectual growth. Dean of Admission at University of Chicago James G. Nondorf wrote “Craig stood out among a field of incredible, capable, and inspiring educators. We are proud to recognize them, and in turn, recognize your institution!”
