This fall, Upper Schoolers conducted a commercial real estate market analysis as part of the real estate unit in the Artificial Intelligence in Business & Global Challenges course.
Students chose a geographic location and business type, and then used AI tools to analyze current market conditions, key statistics, and neighborhood trends to find an ideal rental space. Their work concluded with a summary of their findings and a presentation, helping them gain practical experience using AI for real-world market analysis.
Part of the Upper School Humanities Department’s offerings this fall, the Artificial Intelligence in Business & Global Challenges guides and encourages students to explore how AI is impacting real estate, fashion, and finance, while also identifying how technological innovation can mitigate global challenges such as poverty, public health, and climate change.
The class is intended to provide students with a practical, critical, and theoretical experience with AI as it pertains to business and global markets. Considering the individual and societal impacts of AI—alongside economic and urban development, world history, and technological innovation—gives students a nuanced understanding of their intersection, and the risks and benefits within.
