Upper Schoolers Travel to Philadelphia to Compete in the Ivy League Model United Nations Conference (ILMUNC)
On the weekend of January 23, the Model UN club traveled to Philadelphia to participate in the Ivy League Model UN Conference, an annual event held by students from the University of Pennsylvania. Drawing over 2,000 high school students from around the globe, it was one of the largest high school Model UN conferences in the world.
Rye Country Day sent a delegation of 18 students, who were assigned to represent Lebanon. They served on a variety of committees, including the UN Human Rights Council, the World Health Organization, and the Disarmament and International Security Committee.
