RCDS Spirit & Community Shine Brightly at Wildcat Weekend 2025

SPIRIT WEEK
In the week leading up to the Wildcat Weekend, RCDS was abuzz with school spirit and excitement. To get ready for Wildcat Weekend, RCDS students and employees enjoyed an energizing and fun spirit week hosted by the Upper School Spirit Club.

PEP RALLY
Blue & Gold spirit was all around at the Pep Rally preceding Wildcat Weekend. Students and employees gathered in the gymnasium, the fall athletic teams hyped up the crowd, and a series of fun games kept the energy up!

WILDCAT WEEKEND
Students, families, and employees happily gathered on campus for this festive community tradition celebrating Rye Country Day.

FUN RUN
The 1-mile Fun Run kicked off the festivities, as runners of all ages took to East Campus in this culminating event of the Can-Do Food Drive benefiting the Carver Center Market.

FALL FAIR
Upper School club leaders facilitated activities for the Fall Fair on the Admissions Lawn. A DJ provided a fun soundtrack as younger Wildcats lined up to enjoy the Gaga pit and inflatables. Proceeds from Fall Fair ticket sales, as well as the sale of tasty burgers, hot dogs, and other treats, helped raise money to fund Upper School club programming.

VARSITY GAMES
The Wildcats were raring to go at five Wildcat Weekend home games, and the RCDS community was ready to cheer them on. The Varsity teams showed out, racking up three wins and one tie over the weekend in front of the blue and gold crowd. Go, Wildcats!

CAN-DO DRIVE
The Can-Do Drive is a hallmark of fall at Rye Country Day, as students, families, and employees put their dedication to service into action by collecting canned goods for the Carver Center Market in Port Chester. The drive runs for two weeks, culminating with Wildcat Weekend’s annual all-community Fun Run, where RCDS runners of all ages are sponsored with food donations. After this year’s enthusiastic participation in the drive, several bags of cereals, vegetable/canola oil, rice, shelf stable milk, assorted spices, and more were collected and sent over to the Carver Center Market!

The Fourth Grade proudly takes a leadership role in Can-Do Drive guided by the P.E. Department and Director of Public Purpose Rebecca Drago.

Thank you to the many members of the RCDS community who supported the Can-Do Drive and to the Carver Center for partnering with RCDS on this important public-purpose initiative.
